Office of the Vice Chancellor
The Office of the Vice Chancellor is the central executive
authority responsible for providing strategic leadership and
overall direction for the University. The Vice Chancellor
oversees the institution’s academic, administrative, and
operational activities, ensuring that all functions align with
the University’s mission and long-term vision.
PROFILE OF THE VICE CHANCELLOR
Professor Aloysius Chijioke Onyeka is an accomplished
academic and administrator currently serving as the
Vice-Chancellor of the University of Innovation, Science
and Technology, Omuma (UISTO). He previously served as the
Acting Vice-Chancellor of Alvan Ikoku Federal University
of Education, Owerri, and Deputy Vice-Chancellor at
Kingsley Ozumba Mbadiwe University.
At the Federal University of Technology, Owerri (FUTO), he
held several key roles, including Director of the ICT
Centre, Head of Statistics, and Head of Computer Science.
He has also been a Visiting/Sabbatical Professor at Abia
State University, Uturu.
A respected consultant statistician, Professor Onyeka has
supported numerous doctoral research projects and is
widely recognized for his contributions to academic
excellence, technological innovation, and effective
university leadership.
