Our Purpose

Mission, Vision, and Objectives

The University of Innovation, Science and Technology, Omuma (UISTO) was established by the Imo State of Nigeria Law No. 6 of 2025, signed into law by His Excellency, Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma, on August 26, 2025. This foundational legislation reflects the state government’s commitment to strengthening innovation-driven education, advancing scientific capabilities, and creating new opportunities for Nigerian youth.

Objectives

  • Providing training, research, and development in applied arts, sciences, technology, management, and commerce.
  • Offering full-time and part-time courses leading to diplomas, certificates, and other qualifications.
  • Organizing conferences, seminars, and public lectures to disseminate knowledge.
  • Preparing students for examinations set by the Institution or other examining bodies.
  • Developing techniques to meet the needs of Imo State and Nigeria.
